ICBC is the 7th in The Banker's latest Top 1000 World Banks
 

In the July issue of The Banker (UK) comes with the announcement of its latest Top 1000 World Banks, a ranking based on Tier 1 capital. ICBC moves up 9 places from last year and becomes the 7th World Bank with a Tier 1 capital of USD 59.166 billion. 

Among the world top 10 banks, Bank of America becomes the largest bank in the world with Tier 1 capital of USD 91.065 billion after the acquisition of MBNA Corporation and Sallie Mae. Citicorp with USD 90.899 billion and HSBC with USD 87.842 billion come close as the second and third largest bank in the world. Banks from the fourth place to the tenth place are: Credit Agricole Group (France)、JP Morgan Bank (US), Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (Japan), ICBC (China), Royal Bank of Scotland (UK), Bank of China and Santander Central Hispano (Spain).
